The WindFit system component is a simple frame and is aesthetically pleasing in its essential design.
The system is universal, its versatility being practically unlimited with regard to use (curtain walls, windows with fanlight or fixed lower light, bottom-hinged and top-hinged, etc.) It is also particularly suitable for finishing work (small entrance doors, glazed areas, stair wells, fixed windows, basements, etc.) ACCESSORIES
The assembly accessories and fittings of the WindFit component guarantees fast, safe assembly and fitting, also thanks to the high quality and technology of the materials:
galvanised steel caters for sash and the frame joints;
die-cast alloy is used for the hinges and locking systems of the sashes and panels.
PERFORMANCE The sturdiness combined with the elasticity of the WindFit component frame makes it perfectly adequate to stand up to wind or rain or extremes of temperature, in accordance with standards and regulations force. The performance of a WindFit frame assembled in a workmanlike manner with the possibility of an openable surface area of up to 3 sq.m, is as follows:
RESISTANCE TO WIND LOAD
Up to class V2a, in accordance with UNI standards (160km/h). The steel elastic module and the stiffening provided by the profiling process determine these factors. In wider spans (large patio doors, curtain walls, extra wide frontages etc.) the whole WindFit frame is made with suitably sized and durable modules and coupling joints.
AIR FILTRATION
Up to class A3, in accordance with UNI standards (less than 2 cu.m/h per linear metre of openable joint at a pressure of 200Pa). This result is due to a continuous glazing gasket and a wide rebate gasket.
WATERTIGHTNESS
Up to class E4, in accordance with UNI standards (static pressure over 500 Pa). This has been made possible by using an exclusive system of rebating and pressurecompensating joints. The result is excellent protection against rain even under the most unfavourable conditions of exposure of the building (upper floors, facing north or norhteast,etc.)
HEAT INSULATION
All frames made with WindFit component may have double glazing installed as well as single glazing. The reduced surface area of the metal sections ensure an overall average transmittance of K 4.5 - 4.9 with single glazing and K2.8 - 3.2 with double glazing plus considerable energy saving thanks to the reduced heat loss obtained by cutting out draughts. When using double glazing: U-Value (W/m2k 2.9)
SOUND-PROOFING
The WindFit component guarantees excellent acoustic comfort thanks to the evennes and compactness of all its parts and perfect adhesion to the masonry. The rebate gasket, applied to the whole openable perimeter, eliminates the possibility of any echo.
Double glazed units can dramatically dampen noice pollution - STC 42.
DIMENSIONS
The WindFit component offers the possibility of installing frames of different heights and widths according to the per formance required, all to CNR-UNI-10012 standards.
